Matzah Balls

Passover. Shabbat. Tradition.

This traditional cutlet is identified as an Ashkenazi Jewish traditional food. The origin of the name 'Kneidel' is in the Yiddish language and it means “dumpling” in Hebrew.

The Matzah Balls (kneidleach) are usually made from a matzah flour and eggs. Legume eaters used to eat them during Passover, but of course every day is a good day to indulge on a bowl of soup with matzah balls!
